OK To Disconnect is a dynamic album to be completed in two phases. It is a real-time music project with a specific goal; to self-produce original songs and videos.
CREATION
OKTD is not a singer/songwriter project with an acoustic guitar and vocals. You will hear songs as if it were a full band recording every single instrument in a large studio.
There are no expensive sound boards, no audio racks filled with rocking compressors or effects, no producer arranging the tracks, no mastering company blowing up the sound.
You may preview tracks as they are created on the official YouTube page. In addition, the most recently released song will be available on the home page of lastfalling.com.
PHASE 1: Connected
Tracks 01-08 were broadcasted live during the recording process. Finalized videos were produced with the completed song playing over a timelapse video of the 30+ hours captured working on the corresponding track in HD. Songs were released for free and downloaded 4,000 times in 6 months with little promotion.
PHASE 2: Disconnected
Track 09 will begin the second phase of OK To Disconnect in July 2010 with a more personalized look into the creative concept of capturing video. Cameras and live feeds have been taken down as a result of Phase 2. Tracks have been taken out of the free podcast bin. Songs will remain free via YouTube videos, and the album will be released on iTunes for 9.99 when it is completed.
